Tamara Fuentes is currently the Entertainment Editor at Cosmopolitan where she covers TV, movies, books, celebrities, and more. She also leads Cosmo Reads, a new book imprint collaboration between Cosmopolitan and Sourcebooks that features books about romance, pop culture fiction, and other fun reads where she reads manuscripts and helps bridge the future of the imprint. She has moderated for Webtoon, Sourcebooks, Penguin Random House, New York Comic Con, San Diego Comic-Con, and more.
She graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2017 with a BA in Journalism and Professional Writing and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Before joining Cosmopolitan, Tamara was the Associate Entertainment Editor at Seventeen, where she led the entertainment section for three years. Tamara first joined Hearst Magazines as a Newsroom Fellow in Hearst Digital Media, writing for over 20+ brands including Elle, Men’s Health, Harper’s Bazaar, and Good Housekeeping. She has written for Zooey Magazine as a teen online blogger, Highlight Magazine, PopWrapped Entertainment, and TV Guide Magazine as an Editorial Intern.
Tamara is a member of the Television Critics Association, the Latino Entertainment Journalists Association, and the Writers Guild of America, East.
Her love for all things entertainment has made her pursue an interest in pop culture journalism where she writes about music, theater, movies, television shows, and celebrities. Some of her favorite shows and movies include Glee, Smallville, Boy Meets World, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Younger, and any movie within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She can often be found listening to her favorite records on vinyl, catching up on the latest screeners that landed in her inbox, or reading her next favorite book!
